School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Liverpool, New York New

A dedicated Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for a specialized 1:1 role supporting a non-verbal first-grade student within an elementary K-12 school setting. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with consistent hours, providing an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a student's academic and health needs. The role is ideal for an RN experienced in pediatric nursing, school health services, and tracheostomy care, located in the Liverpool, NY area and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a non-verbal first-grade student, including tracheostomy monitoring, cleaning, and suctioning.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding and personal care.
• Support academic engagement and supervise the student during elective classes outside the special education environment.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and health-conscious environment tailored to the students specific needs.
• Document nursing care provided and communicate effectively with school staff and healthcare professionals.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid RN license with experience in pediatric or school nursing.
• Proficiency in tracheostomy care, suctioning, and feeding assistance.
• Ability to supervise and support students in academic and non-academic settings.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly desirable.
• No experience required with aggressive behaviors; focus is on attentive monitoring and support.
  
  

Position Details

• Location: Moravia, NY, with opportunities in surrounding areas.
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:30/3:00 PM, with a duty-free lunch period.
• Compensation: $38 to $45 per hour.
